Qualifications

• Must have a high school education or GED.
• Four years of mechanical experience, to include hands-on work on school and activity buses.
• Fundamental understanding of equipment systems (e.g. engines, hydraulics, electrical, sub-electrical, transmissions).

Responsibilities

• Review work schedule, prepare for duties, ensure PPE compliance.
• Troubleshoot engines, fuel systems, and transmissions using manuals and parts diagrams.
• Use lift trucks, cranes, and hand/power tools to repair and reassemble components.
• Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on buses; service air brakes, A/C, and electrical systems.
• Work with multiple teams and be part of an on-call rotation for on-site support.
