Job summary

The Metropolitan Council seeks a Technical Trainer to develop and deliver high-quality training for Bus Maintenance personnel across three shifts. You will design curricula, prepare materials, and supervise students using a hands-on approach to enhance safety, reliability, and cost efficiency of the fleet.

Qualifications include a mechanical background with vehicle diagnostics, plus experience in instructional design, LMS usage, and training delivery.

Qualifications

• Six years of mechanic/technician experience with vehicle diagnostics or related field.
• Education aligned with mechanics, training and development, or related field.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical training to Bus Maintenance personnel across three shifts.
• Prepare classroom, equipment, and training materials before classes.
• Supervise students during classroom hours and manage activities.
• Design and develop curricula, outlines, syllabi, and evaluation documents.
• Update training records in the Learning Management System (LMS).
