D/T Carson Enterprises, Inc. is looking for a Mechanic Helper to support maintenance and repair of shuttle buses in Tucson, AZ. You will work on buses and related equipment, with opportunities for skill growth and advancement.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of computer software associated with specific diesel engines.
• Strong electrical knowledge a plus.
• Possession of a mechanic’s tool set.
• Ability to work under minimum supervision while working in a team-oriented environment.
• Automotive/Diesel training / certification a PLUS!
• Ability to work under pressure under strict deadlines.
• Communication both verbal and written.
• Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.

Responsibilities

• Plan work procedures for maintenance tasks.
• Raise vehicle with hydraulic jack or hoist to access mechanical units under the vehicle.
• Remove units such as engine, transmission, brakes, valves and suspension components.
• Disassemble units and inspect parts for wear.
• Reline and adjust brakes; troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Repair and replace headlights and other lighting; install accessories.
• Follow cross-functional duties as requested by Production Supervisor.
