Job summary

RATP Dev USA is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair buses and related equipment in our Winston-Salem facility. You will perform routine preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and use diagnostic tools to ensure high safety and reliability.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of vocational/technical schooling or equivalent experience, strong computer skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a 24/7

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• One to two years of vocational/technical schooling or equivalent experience.
• Experience with heavy equipment maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a safety-first attitude.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
• Use hand and power tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Read and follow schematics and maintain records.
• Test drive buses and equipment to verify repairs.
• Assist training of junior staff.
• Fulfill backfill supervisory duties when required.
