Job summary

Warm Hearth Inc. is seeking a PRN driver to transport residents in Blacksburg and Christiansburg. You will assist residents with limited mobility to board safely and manage transportation duties with reliability and good time management.

The role requires a valid driver's license and a clean driving record, with work mainly in evenings and weekends. Physical ability to lift and maneuver equipment is needed, and prior passenger transport experience is not required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a currently valid driver's license.
• Excellent driving record.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and bend.
• PRN status with evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents within Blacksburg & Christiansburg.
• Assist residents and caregivers to board safely.
• Drive residents in varied weather conditions.
• Maintain reliability and independent work since PRN.

Duties/Responsibilities:Transport residents throughout covered service area (Blacksburg & Christiansburg).Provide assistance required to safely board residents and caregivers, with limited mobility, including wheelchairs.Must be reliable and capable of working independently, excellent time management skills16 hours per par period as a PRN statusWorking evenings/weekendsEducation and Experience:Must hold a currently valid driver's license and have an excellent driving record.Previous passenger transport experience NOT requiredPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift, push, pull and bend, with full range of body motion to perform considerable reaching, stooping, and bending.Hearing and vision abilities within normal range (corrected) to drive safely and to observe and communicate with passengers.Exposure to a variety of weather conditions.Hiring Manager:Robbie Hickerson, Director of Housing.
