Job summary

Westminster-Canterbury-of-the-Blue-Ridg in Charlottesville, VA, seeks a part-time Driver to provide safe transportation for residents in independent living, the health center, and catered (assisted) living. Qualifications

• Must have a valid Virginia driver’s license with clean record.
• 5 years of driving experience.
• Current CPR and First aid certification.
• Commercial Driver’s License is preferred, but not required.

• Respond to fire, health and other emergencies per WCBR policies.
• Perform daily bus checklist and report service needs to Senior Bus Driver.

Job description

We currently have a part-time opening for a Driver position. The Driver provides safe transportation services for residents in independent living, the health center, and catered (assisted) living. The Driver must be a team player with the ability to provide quality and friendly customer service and accomplish daily goals. The starting pay range for this position is $17.11 to $22.75 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to various locations for appointments, business and pleasure.
• Respond to all fire, health and other emergencies according to WCBR policies.
• Perform the “daily checklist” for the bus in use each day; report all service needs to the Senior Bus Driver.

Qualifications

• Ability to schedule, coordinate, and implement activities with numerous details and multiple deadlines; ability to perform under pressure.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to set a good example, maintain a professional appearance and manner, make a good impression, and work effectively with others; in person, in writing and through oral communications.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, follow detailed procedures, and have good customer service skills.
• Evenings, weekends and holidays may be required.

Requirements
