Job summary

Westminster-Canterbury of the Blue Ridge in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a part-time Driver to provide safe transportation for residents across independent living, the health center, and assisted living. The driver will be a team player, deliver quality customer service, and complete daily vehicle checks.

A Virginia driver’s license with a clean record and CPR/First Aid certification are required; 5 years of driving experience is preferred. Position may require evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Virginia driver’s license with clean record.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Commercial Driver's License is preferred but not required.

Job description

We currently have a part‑time opening for a Driver position. The Driver provides safe transportation services for residents in independent living, the health center, and catered (assisted) living. The Driver must be a team player with the ability to provide quality and friendly customer service and accomplish daily goals. The starting pay range for this position is $17.11 to $22.75 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to various locations for appointments, business and pleasure.
• Respond to all fire, health and other emergencies according to WCBR policies.
• Perform the “daily checklist” for the bus in use each day; report all service needs to the Senior Bus Driver.

Qualifications

• Ability to schedule, coordinate, and implement activities with numerous details and multiple deadlines; ability to perform under pressure.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to set a good example, maintain a professional appearance and manner, make a good impression, and work effectively with others; in person, in writing and through oral communications.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, follow detailed procedures, and have good customer service skills.
• Evenings, weekends and holidays may be required.
• Able to uphold Magnetic Values (Multicultural-Accountable-Game Changer- Nurturing- Empowering-Teachable).

Requirements
