Job summary

Warm Hearth is seeking a PRN bus driver to transport residents in Blacksburg and Christiansburg for special trips. The role requires helping passengers board safely, including those using wheelchairs, and maintaining reliable, independent work habits.

Candidates must hold a valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record and be able to lift and move residents as needed; evenings and weekends availability is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a currently valid driver’s license and have an excellent driving record.
• Previous passenger transport experience not required.
• Ability to lift, push, pull and bend, with full range of body motion to perform considerable reaching, stooping, and bending.
• 16 hours per period as a PRN status.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents throughout the covered service area (Blacksburg & Christiansburg).
• Provide assistance required to safely board residents and caregivers, with limited mobility, including wheelchairs.
• Must be reliable and capable of working independently, with excellent time management skills.
