PRIMARY PURPOSE

Safely transport students and school personnel to and from authorized campuses and final destinations. Periodically transport students and school personnel to and from extra‑curricular activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification

• Valid Texas Commercial Driver's License with Passenger endorsement. (CDL REQUIRED)
• Valid Enrollment Certificate or Texas School Bus Driver Certification.
• Must pass Department of Transportation (DOT) Physical Medical Examination

Special knowledge/Skills

• Ability to pass alcohol and drug test.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to adjust and deviate from route description when traffic and /or weather conditions justify such actions.
• Ability to communicate effectively and use a 2‑way radio.
• Ability to manage student behavior.
• No previous experience is necessary.

REQUIRED

Background (police) check will be conducted.
