Job summary

Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI is seeking a full-time bus driver to operate a large capacity bus for the campus community, following designated routes and schedules. You will drive to university stops, perform pre-trip inspections, and maintain passenger counts with a focus on safety and timely service.

The role requires a valid commercial driver’s license with a passenger endorsement, a medical certification, and strong English communication and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Experience working in commercial driving or related experience.
• Current/valid class A or B commercial driver's license with passenger endorsement.
• Current/valid medical certification.
• Ability to communicate, read and write proficiently in English.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Interview process requires satisfactory completion of DOT road test, review of previous employment records, and pre-employment drug test.

• Drives to university bus stops to carry passengers to their destinations in a timely manner.
