Job summary

Regional School Unit in Monmouth, ME is seeking a School Bus Driver to transport students safely and on schedule. The position requires a Maine school bus driver's license with endorsements, and the ability to pass a background check, a physical examination, and a pre-employment drug/alcohol test.

• Show proficiency in handling and maneuvering a school bus. Has the ability to drive in adverse conditions (wind, rain, snow, sleet).
• Has the ability to work with school staff, the public, students and passengers.

Qualification Requirements

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or general education degree (HiSET)
• Driving experience preferred.
• Knowledge of general transportation operations.

START DATE: August 2026

SALARY: Based on 2026-2027 Wage scale: $25.94 (Step 1) -$29.68 (Step 4) based on experience and the Custodian-Driver-Nutrition Collective Bargaining Agreement 24-27.
