Job summary

Chateau Retirement Communities is seeking a driver to transport residents on scheduled routes and perform routine vehicle maintenance. The role emphasizes resident care and safety, supporting a family-like workplace.

Ideal candidates have a Class C CDL, ability to drive extended periods, and experience with the elderly. Chateau funds training for CPR/First Aid and CNA/HCA certification as needed.

Qualifications

• C level CDL with no violations on record.
• Ability to drive for extended periods, up to 2 hours.
• Previous experience working with the elderly preferred.
• Must read, write and speak English fluently.
• Valid CPR/First Aid certificate (Chateau will pay for training if not certified).
• CNA or Home Care Aid certification (Chateau will pay for training if not certified).

Responsibilities

• Provide scheduled transportation for residents.
• Perform daily pre-trip vehicle inspections and arrange maintenance.
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle interior and exterior.
• Stock and update first aid kit and emergency information sheets.
• Report vehicle concerns to Life Enrichment Director and Executive Director.

Salary Range: $23.00 - $27.00 Hourly

Wage: $23-$27 per hour/DOE

Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 8:30pm-5pm.

A Day in the Life

• Provided scheduled transportation for residents
• Perform daily pre-trip inspection of vehicle and arrange regular vehicle maintenance
• Maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior of vehicle
• Stock and maintain the first aid kit and keep on-board emergency information sheets up to date
• Report any vehicle concerns to the Life Enrichment Director and Executive Director

Requirements

• “C” level commercial driver’s license with no violations on record
• Ability to drive for extended periods of time, up to 2 hours
