Greyhound Lines, Inc. in Las Vegas, NV is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain our fleet of diesel buses. You will perform routine inspections and major repairs to keep coaches road-ready.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years as a diesel mechanic, holds a valid driver's license, and can obtain a CDL. This on-site, full-time role requires willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, with opportunities for career advancement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience as a diesel mechanic.
• Own your own basic shop tools; specialty tools provided.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• CDL obtainable; employer will help cover cost.
• Must be able to do shift work (nights, weekends, holidays).
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and work in confined spaces.
• ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on diesel engines and coach-related components of over-the-road buses.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Repair or replace defective parts, including engines, transmissions, and brakes.
• Maintain accurate records of all service work performed.
• Follow all safety procedures and company protocols.
• Communicate clearly with drivers, dispatch, and the maintenance manager regarding vehicle status and repair timelines.
• Stay up to date on the latest diesel engine technologies and repair techniques.
