Job summary

Greyhound Bus Lines Inc is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain our fleet of diesel-powered buses. The role focuses on safe, reliable, and road-ready service to keep drivers and passengers moving with minimal disruption.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience, owns basic shop tools, holds a valid driver's license with a clean record, and is able to obtain a CDL with company support.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional diesel mechanic experience.
• Own your own basic shop tools; specialty tools provided.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must be able to obtain a CDL with company support.
• Must be able to do shift work – evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs, work in confined spaces, stand for long periods.
• ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality inspections and repairs on diesel engines and coach components.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Repair or replace engines, transmissions, and brakes.
• Maintain accurate service records.
• Follow safety procedures and company protocols.
• Communicate with drivers and maintenance manager regarding status and timelines.
• Stay updated on diesel engine technologies and repair techniques.
