Job summary

Inspire Development Centers is seeking a Bus Aide to support the transportation of children on assigned routes. You will escort children, perform health checks, and assist with supervision both on the bus and at the center.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the driver, ensuring child safety, and assisting with meals, laundry, and breaks as needed. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred; a high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proficient in English; Spanish helpful for bilingual communication.
• Ability to communicate and interact respectfully with children, families and staff.
• Flexible schedule; may work split shifts or varied routes.
• Knowledge of child development and safety practices a plus.
• Experience with bus safety and risk management desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist bus drivers in transporting children to and from the vehicle.
• Escort children on and off the bus, ensuring proper restraints and supervision.
• Conduct daily health checks and assist with caring for children on trips.
• Serve as liaison between parents and staff; report incidents promptly.
• Monitor attendance and verify the release of children to authorized individuals.
• Support staff with meals, laundry, classroom cleanup, and breaks.
• Maintain confidentiality of program and client information.
• Attend staff meetings and pursue professional development.
