Job summary

Cajon Valley Union School District in eastern San Diego County invites applications for a Bus Attendant. Under supervision, you will ride a school bus to provide safe, secure transportation for students with physical, medical, educational and emotional needs.

You will support loading and unloading, assist drivers with securing handicapped students, and help maintain a calm, supportive environment. Our district emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a caring approach to students and families.

Qualifications

Requirements / Qualifications

Under the supervision of the Transportation Operations Supervisor, ride a school bus to provide safe and secure transportation for students with physical, medical, educational and emotional needs; assist drivers in the loading, unloading and securing of handicapped students.

You're an excellent candidate for our Bus Attendant position, if you have a passion for working with children, enjoy working in a team, and you possess the following qualifications and competencies: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school or equivalent, and experience working with children with physical and/or emotional disabilities.

The district has approximately 16,600 students, plus approximately 800 preschool students, with 26 schools (6 middle schools, 19 elementary schools and 1 preschool).
