Job summary

Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. seeks a Bus Aide to support bus safety, supervise children during travel, and reinforce learning activities in cooperation with staff.

The role helps prepare families and children for school readiness and life success while maintaining health and safety standards on and around the bus. The ideal candidate communicates well, is able to relate positively to children and families, and can follow through on assigned tasks; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires strong communication skills with children, families, and staff.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred to support diverse families.
• Basic computer literacy for attendance and records.
• Experience with children ages 0-5 is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist Bus Driver/Facilities Custodian to supervise children on the bus.
• Provide educational activities that complement classroom learning.
• Promote school readiness and safety during travel and on bus.
• Maintain health and safety practices in bus, outdoor and indoor settings.
