Job summary

Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. seeks a Bus Aide to support the Bus Driver and Facilities Custodian in ensuring child safety and adherence to rules during transportation.

The role includes providing educational activities, giving clear conduct directions, and promoting school readiness for children aged 0-5 within ECD programs. Qualified applicants will have a High School Diploma or GED (CDA preferred) and some experience with young children.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; CDA preferred.
• Six months experience with children 0-5 preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Valid NM or TX driver’s license preferred for local centers.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bus Driver/Facilities Custodian to supervise children on the bus.
• Provide educational activities to complement classroom learning.
• Give clear directives to children regarding conduct and safety on the bus.
• Promote school readiness by preparing children and families for school and life success.
• Maintain health and safety regulations to create an optimum learning environment.
• Facilitate health practices to keep children safe on the bus and in facilities.
