Job summary

LIM College in Midtown Manhattan is seeking a Director of Student Accounts to oversee tuition billing and collections for undergraduate and graduate students and to supervise multiple Student Accounts Advisors.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least five years in collections or billing within higher education, with deep knowledge of federal/state aid regulations, AR practices, vendor management, and IRS reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum five years of related professional experience in collections, billing, customer service, management, preferably within higher education.
• Knowledge of federal and state financial aid and finance regulations, including VA education benefits and TILA.
• Experience using a data enterprise system to analyze data and prepare reports.
• Experience with cashiering and cash management.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Student Accounts Advisors in a student-centered environment with exceptional customer service and staff development.
• Serve as the College Bursar.
• Design, implement, and maintain an Accounts Receivable strategy with standardized processes.
• Manage the collection of millions in tuition revenue across programs.
• Oversee vendor relationships and collection agencies.
• Reconcile student accounts with the general ledger.
