Barnes Aerospace in Connecticut is seeking an experienced assembler to burr and blend aircraft engine parts according to operation sheets. Shift: Mon-Fri 10:30pm-7:00am with training on 1st/2nd shifts; pay rate plus 17% shift differential.

Position Details
Pay rate + 17% Shift Differential
Your Expertise
  • 3+ years in aerospace environment

  • Ability to read and interpret manual instructions and operation sheets

Your Challenge
  • Perform a variety of duties to burr and blend surfaces on aircraft engine parts according to instructions contained in operation sheets.
  • Use appropriate abrasives and air guns required for each part or operation. If needed, set-up holding devices such as rotary and hydraulic tables. Use carbide drills, emery cratex and flat wheels, PSA discs, buffing and wire sheets and diamond files according to the operation requirements.
  • Work from established practices and overhaul manual instructions and procedures to perform a variety of duties to prepare parts for subsequent operations.
  • Detect faulty operations and materials and report these and other problems to immediate supervisor. Comply with all company and safety rules and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as required
Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
