Qualifications

• Possession of or eligibility for a license to practice as a registered nurse in New York State.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred, with at least one year of hospital acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and coordinate nursing care with other health disciplines.
• Develop written individualized care plans including discharge planning.
• Administer direct care and medications as needed.
• Practice infection control and maintain a safe environment.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the RN in charge and clinicians.
• Maintain written care plans and educate patients and families.
