Doctors Hospital of Augusta in Augusta, GA is seeking a Registered Nurse - Burn OR to deliver high-quality perioperative care in a fast paced burn center. You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists and staff to plan and execute safe patient care before, during, and after surgery.

You will evaluate patients preoperatively, educate families, manage IV therapy and medications, and participate in universal protocols and patient safety initiatives. On-call may apply outside business hours.

Qualifications

• RN license required (state of Georgia).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• 1 year of nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy and perioperative medications.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Respond to patient emergencies and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to improve nursing and surgical workflow.
• Document patient condition changes and care provided.
