Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. in Augusta, GA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Burn OR to influence patient care through collaborative leadership and participation in hospital councils and nursing initiatives.

You will evaluate patients before surgery, educate families about procedures, and ensure safe perioperative care within a dynamic interdisciplinary team of providers, surgeons, and nurses. On-call duties may apply.

Qualifications

• RN license or eligibility required.
• BLS/ACLS within 30 days of start.
• Associate/BSN in nursing required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide education to patients and families about perioperative care.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy and preoperative meds.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Detect and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and uphold evidence-based practices.
