Job summary

Ascension is seeking a dedicated RN for the Burn ICU at Ascension St Vincent Indianapolis Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. This full-time, day-shift role focuses on coordinating multidisciplinary patient care, monitoring progress, and implementing physician orders to ensure optimal outcomes.

The position emphasizes discharge planning and collaboration with the healthcare team, with required Indiana RN licensure and BLS. ACLS is preferred and tuition assistance is available through Ascension.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing prior to hire date.
• Advanced Life Support preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.

Education

Diploma from accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire
