Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking an experienced RN for the Burn Intensive Care Unit, 3 West, at the Main Campus. The role involves caring for adults and pediatrics with severe burns and related complications, with rotating 7a–7p/7p–7a shifts and rotating weekends/holidays.

Required qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program and Ohio RN licensure, plus BLS; ACLS and PALS are expected within 6–90 days. BSN and Magnet certification are preferred and tuition reimbursement is offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS and PALS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.
• BSN preferred.
• Professional certification recognized by Magnet Association preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for hemodynamic instabilities.
• Sterile dressing changes/Infection prevention.
• Complex wound care.
• Managing surgical drains, mechanical ventilators, & CRRT.
• Collaborate with Patient Care Nursing Assistants, Nurse Interns, Trauma/Burn Surgeons, Respiratory Therapy, Child Life Specialists.
