Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Burn Intensive Care Unit (3 West) at the Main Campus. The role involves caring for adult and pediatric burn patients, including complex wound care, sterile dressing changes, and ventilator management in a 8-bed unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS and PALS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Care for adult and pediatric burn patients with hemodynamic instability.
• Perform sterile dressing changes and infection prevention.
• Provide complex wound care and manage surgical drains, mechanical ventilators, and CRRT.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, trauma surgeons, and respiratory therapy to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
