Job summary

MetroHealth’s Burn Intensive Care Unit at the Main Campus is seeking a registered nurse to provide high‑quality care for adult and pediatric burn patients. The role includes sterile dressing changes, wound care, and managing drains, ventilators, and CRRT in a high‑acuity setting.

The nurse collaborates with PCNAs, interns, surgeons, and therapists to deliver comprehensive trauma and burn care. Ohio RN licensure and BLS/ACLS/PALS are required or obtained within set timeframes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider (ACLS & PALS within timeframe).
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to adult and pediatric burn patients with hemodynamic instability.
• Perform sterile dressing changes and infection prevention.
• Manage complex wound care and surgical drains.
• Operate and monitor mechanical ventilators and CRRT as directed.
