Job summary

Uniti in Matthews, NC is seeking a Buried Drop Technician to install buried copper, fiber, and coaxial cable from the network hub to customers' residences. You will travel overnight as needed and promote Kinetic products and services while delivering quality connections.

This safety-sensitive role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 70 pounds, and valid driver’s license. You’ll interpret work orders, complete tasks efficiently, and train new employees on daily duties.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 70 pounds.
• Must have valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Willingness to travel overnight, including out of state.
• Ability to interpret work drawings and complete paperwork.
• Basic math and technology skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform the physical installation of buried copper, fiber & coaxial drop cable to connect the network to customers’ residences.
• Use technical and customer focus to create meaningful connections with customers.
• Interpret work drawings and instructions and complete necessary paperwork.
• Promote and sell Kinetic products and services.
• Train new employees on daily job functions.
