Job summary

Uniti Group Inc. is seeking a Buried Drop Technician to install buried copper, fiber and coaxial cable from the hub to customers’ homes in North Carolina. The role requires travel as needed and is safety sensitive.

You will perform installs, work from drawings, and promote Kinetic products while training new teammates. This hands-on field position emphasizes reliable communication and customer service on every job.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform overnight travel, including out-of-state.
• Basic technology and math skills are required.
• Ability to distinguish colors on color-coded cables.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform the physical installation of buried copper, fiber, and coaxial drop cable to connect the network to customers.
• Use technical and customer focus to create meaningful connections.
• Interpret work drawings and complete necessary paperwork.
• Sell and promote Kinetic products and services.
• Train new employees on daily job functions.
• Operate a handheld computer to retrieve and clear tasks.
• Perform underground facility locates during tasks.
