Job summary

Puratos USA is hiring for a bulk receiver at our New York facility. The role involves receiving daily paperwork for truck/tanker and railcar arrivals, handling bulk materials (flour, sugar, oils) and following established receiving protocols.

The position requires ensuring compliance with quality standards and communicating with the planning team and railroad partners. Responsibilities include reporting out-of-spec conditions to Quality, holding non-conforming material for disposition, and

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Strong verbal and written English skills.
• Basic math and ability to read alphanumeric codes.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Able to work collaboratively with team members and drivers.
• Safety awareness in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Obtain daily paperwork for truck/railcar arrivals and coordinate with production support.
• Receive bulks and release railcars as needed.
• Receive bulk flour, sugar, oils and follow receiving protocols.
• Report any out-of-spec situations to the Quality Department.
• Hold any non-conforming material and inform QA and scheduling for disposition.
• Maintain communication between bulk receiver, planning and railroad (email/phone).
• Overtime may be required; may cover 1st shift when needed due to absences.
• Assist in other areas of production; about 50% bulk unloading and 50% production operations.
• Follow GMP, Food Safety and Safety Procedures.
