Job summary

Materion, located in Elmore, OH, seeks a Maintenance Supervisor for the Bulk Products unit. You will lead maintenance activities, supervise staff, and drive preventative and predictive maintenance to keep equipment running and production on schedule.

The role requires 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED (engineering degree preferred), and eligibility for export-controlled technology access.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Engineering or technology degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience with a hands-on mentality.
• Previous supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology (ITAR/EAR).

Responsibilities

• Provide preventative and predictive maintenance to minimize outages.
• Perform skilled electrical and mechanical repairs and assist with installations.
• Advise staff on complex tasks.
• Occasional on-call emergency maintenance.
• Maintain inspection schedules and records.
• Maintain equipment part files and spare parts records.
• Monitor and control maintenance costs and review monthly.
• Ensure plant safety devices function correctly.
• Evaluate environmental risk impacts and comply with regulations.
• Update environmental reports (air velocity, emissions, permits, discharges).
• Develop design changes to increase production and reduce costs.
• Coordinate with plant personnel to ensure facility availability.
• Ensure timely maintenance by all staff and adherence to EH&S rules.
• Assist in securing and maintaining ISO/Quality registrations.
• Coordinate with contractors and ensure safety during contractor work.
