Job summary

Materion Corporation in Ohio seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the Bulk Products Department's maintenance activities and lead a working team to keep equipment and facilities in optimal condition to meet production targets.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial maintenance, a high school diploma or GED (engineering degree preferred), and supervisory experience. You will manage preventive maintenance, safety compliance, and cost control while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to minimize outages from breakdowns.
  • Repair electrical and mechanical equipment and assist with equipment installations.
  • Advise staff on complex or difficult tasks.
  • Perform on‑call duties for after‑hour emergencies and coordinate resolution.
  • Maintain records and checklists to ensure timely inspection schedules.
  • Maintain equipment files for spare‑parts identification.
  • Manage maintenance costs, review monthly and take corrective action.
  • Ensure plant safety devices function as designed.
  • Evaluate and communicate risks of potential environmental impacts.
  • Monitor and maintain environmental reports (air velocity, emissions, confined‑space permits, sanitary discharge).
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Develop and implement design changes to improve production, safety, and reduce costs.
  • Coordinate with plant operating personnel to ensure facility availability for production.
  • Ensure personnel perform proper, timely maintenance on minor facility repairs.
  • Ensure all employees understand and follow environmental, health, and safety rules.
  • Assist other functions to maintain quality registrations.
  • Decide need for outside contractors, prepare bids, select contractors, and liaise while ensuring contractor safety.

Salary Range: $79,200-103,950*

Maintenance Supervisor

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the maintenance activities of the Bulk Products Department and is a working supervisor who provides the required knowledge and skills to maintain the facility’s equipment and structures to optimize operations and meet planned production requirements. The incumbent works closely with the maintenance staff to support the operating schedule.

Responsibilities

Requirements
