Job summary

Materion in Elmore, OH is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to install, troubleshoot, and maintain plant machinery on a fast-moving assembly floor.

You will read sketches, manuals, and SOPs, identify irregularities, and implement corrective actions. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 4+ years of maintenance experience or equivalent apprenticeship, and good communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Four years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience or military equivalent.
• Completion of an approved four-year apprentice program will be considered.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to analyze mechanical problems and implement solutions.
• Willingness to work day, afternoon, night shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains machinery and equipment.
• Reads sketches, manuals, drawings, blueprints, and SOPs; suggests alterations.
• Identifies operational irregularities, determines causes, and takes corrective action.
• Participates in team meetings and may assume leadership roles.
• Trains other personnel/apprentices in safety procedures.
