MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position reports to the District Manager. The Bulk Plant Operator will be responsible for operations in the blending and loading of cement, chemicals (Cement or Bulk), and/or acid needed to perform each Pumping Services job.
CRITICAL TASKS / PERFORMANCE GOALS:
- Live and model the Crew Resource Management culture.
- Carry out daily operations and activities in the Bulk Plant including loading cement and additives, maintaining housekeeping, managing inventory, and storing and tracking samples.
- Review job proposals or call sheets from Coordinators to understand job details, required volumes, and prepare for blending.
- Calculate, pour, measure, and weigh chemicals/cement/acid blends accurately.
- Monitor pneumatic pressure of tanks and control values to manage flow during blending and loading processes.
- Participate in loading blended cement/chemicals/acid to trucks for transport, retaining samples for backup or testing.
- Load and unload orders from suppliers using pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on Bulk Plant equipment.
- Assist with driving Bulk Trucks for loading cement as needed.
- Track and maintain inventory of chemicals, cement, and acid.
- Ensure complete and accurate paperwork and records submission.
- Maintain and promote safety standards at all times.
- Report hazards, incidents, or injuries immediately.
- Attend weekly safety meetings.
- Understand and implement operational standards and company requirements.
- Use assertive communication and stop work authority when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience:
- 2+ years in Bulk Plant/Operations experience
- Valid Driver's License
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Problem recognition and solving skills
- High safety consciousness
- Strong math skills for ratios, percentages, and volumes
- Knowledge of Emergency Response Plans and safety equipment
- Familiarity with MSDS, TDG, PPE
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations
Work Environment / Physical Abilities
Exposure to moving mechanical parts, weather conditions, fumes, chemicals, electrical risks, noise. Must wear PPE. Physical activities include standing, sitting, walking, manual lifting up to 65 lbs for males and 45 lbs for females, climbing, stooping, and vision requirements.
