Ecocyclic is a new start up with plans to be a leading producer of biofuels and renewable energy solutions. We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dayshift Plant Operator to join our team in Winnie, Texas. Machinery specific training will be provided for the plant operations and maintenance.
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled shift Plant Operator to oversee the safe and efficient operation of our renewable fuels production facility during 12-hour Day shifts. The successful candidate will be responsible for safe operations, monitoring and controlling equipment, maintaining quality standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and operational parameters defined.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain Safe Operations of Plant including Process Units, Feedstock Preparation Units, Utilities, Offsites and Storage systems.
- Operate and maintain biofuel production equipment, including pumps, valves, and control systems with pre-defined Operational boundaries for safe machine operations.
- Monitor process parameters, such as temperature, pressure, and flow rates.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubrication, and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Collaborate with dayshift operators to ensure seamless shift handover between night and day operations.
- Participate in quality control and assurance activities.
- Maintain accurate records and reports.
- Troubleshoot issues and resolve problems promptly.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, cleaning, and lubrication.
- Repair and replace equipment, machinery, and instruments as needed.
- Conduct predictive and preventive maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with maintenance team to minimize downtime.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior staff.
- Stay up to date with industry developments and best practices.
- Participate in training and professional development programs.
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures and local regulatory requirements including plant LTO (license to operate) and company policies.
- Maintain plant access control, Permit to Work and HSE Protocols in accordance with company guidelines.
- Manage additional administrative tasks as directed.
- Flexible and adaptable problem solver, team player and collaborator.
- Comply with all Safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) required while in live plant.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred in engineering or applied science.
- 8+ years of experience in a related field (renewable fuels, chemical, E&P or energy industry) from Operators not service providers perspective.
- Valid USA driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with process control systems and instrumentation.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Availability to work night shifts (12-hour shifts):
- Varying shifts, including nights and weekends
- 12-hour shifts
- Rotating shifts
- Work Schedule: For the first 120 days after startup, operators will work both day and night shifts to support steady operations. After that, work schedules move to staggered day shifts only. Weekend work will be shared on a rotating basis, with half-day shifts. Operators will also take turns being on-call at night, based on a rotating schedule.
