Job summary

Fiesta Mart is seeking a Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk to join the 002 Houston-Wayside team at 800 S. Wayside Dr., Houston, TX 77023. Under direct supervision, you will assist customers, stock the Bulk Deli, and rotate cheese displays while maintaining a clean, welcoming department.

The role requires lifting ability up to 60 pounds, basic PC/Outlook skills, and proficiency in Spanish and English. This fast-paced grocery position offers growth opportunities and a strong commitment to serving the local

Qualifications

Candidates should possess the ability to:

• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision, the Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk provides friendly, courteous and helpful service. This position assists customers, cleans, fills, and rotates the cheese and deli displays in the Bulk Deli.

The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk position consists of two different shifts. The morning shift begins the day replenishing product, as instructed by the Bulk Deli Manager or Assistant Bulk Deli Manager, in a specifically assigned area. The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk is responsible for assisting customers throughout the entire shift. The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerks will also maintain the cleanliness of the department throughout the shift.

The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
