Job summary

Fiesta Mart in Arlington is seeking a Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk to join the Store Operations team. The role involves providing friendly service, stocking and rotating cheese displays, and helping customers throughout shifts.

The position requires physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds and adherence to food handling standards. Applicants should be bilingual (Spanish/English) and capable of reading labels, following instructions, and communicating effectively with customers and co-workers.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and employees.
• Apply common sense to follow written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift/move up to 25 lbs, frequently 25–45 lbs, and occasionally 45–60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, courteous service to customers and assist with deli displays.
• Two shifts: morning replenishment and customer assistance throughout shift; maintain department cleanliness.
• Work in a fast-paced grocery environment; comply with safety and food-handling requirements.

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision the Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk provides friendly, courteous and helpful service. This position assists customers, cleans, fills and rotates the cheese and deli displays in the Bulk Deli.

The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk position consists of two different shifts. The morning shift begins the day replenishing product, as instructed by the Bulk Deli Manager or Assistant Bulk Deli Manager, in a specifically assigned area. The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk is responsible for assisting customers throughout the entire shift. The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerks will also maintain the cleanliness of the department throughout the shift.

The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
