Job summary

Fiesta Mart in Houston-Edgebrook is looking for a Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk to join our Store Operations team. You will help customers, stock and rotate cheese and deli displays, and support morning shifts with replenishment.

The job emphasizes bilingual Spanish/English communication, basic PC skills, and a commitment to safety and customer service in a fast-paced grocery environment.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English; interact with the general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, courteous service to customers and assist with inquiries.
• Clean, fill and rotate the cheese and deli displays in the Bulk Deli.
• Assist customers throughout the shift and replenish product as instructed by the Bulk Deli Manager.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the department throughout the shift.

Opportunity

Under direct supervision, the Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk provides friendly, courteous and helpful service. This position assists customers, cleans, fills and rotates the cheese and deli displays in the Bulk Deli. The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk works the morning shift, beginning the day by replenishing product as instructed by the Bulk Deli Manager or Assistant Bulk Deli Manager in a specifically assigned area, and remains responsible for assisting customers throughout the shift. The clerk also maintains the cleanliness of the department throughout the shift. The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling, as well as visual and auditory requirements. Required Certification

Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to the preparation, handling and serving of food.
