Job summary

Fiesta Mart in Cypress, TX is seeking a Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk. Under direct supervision, you will provide friendly service, assist customers, and rotate cheese displays in the Bulk Deli area.

The role features two shifts, with mornings focused on replenishing stock as directed by the Bulk Deli Manager. The position requires the ability to lift up to 60 pounds, read English/Spanish instructions, and communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English; interact with the public and coworkers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions; read product labels and shelf tags.
• Write simple correspondence and present information to customers.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25–60 pounds as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, courteous service to customers in the Bulk Deli.
• Assist customers and maintain cheese and deli displays.
• Replenish product and keep the Bulk Deli area clean.
• Work two shifts, with morning shift replenishing as directed by management.
• Support Bulk Deli Manager and Assistant Bulk Deli Manager in daily tasks.

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision the Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk provides friendly, courteous and helpful service. This position assists customers, cleans, fills and rotates the cheese and deli displays in the Bulk Deli. The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk position consists of two different shifts. The morning shift begins the day replenishing product, as instructed by the Bulk Deli Manager or Assistant Bulk Deli Manager, in a specifically assigned area. The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk is responsible for assisting customers throughout the entire shift. The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerks will also maintain the cleanliness of the department throughout the shift.

The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
