Job summary

Lightcast is hiring a Data Analyst (Bulgarian) to support multilingual data initiatives and improve data quality across global markets. You will work with Linguistics and Engineering teams to develop parsers, evaluate classifiers, and translate taxonomies, delivering high-quality data to customers.

Must have Bulgarian proficiency and strong Excel/SQL/RegEx skills. The role is a full-time independent contractor position for up to 6 months, requiring a laptop and reliable internet access.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading and writing Bulgarian.
• Reliable laptop and internet access required.
• Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Data Analytics, NLP, or related field preferred.
• Multilingual candidates preferred, especially Slovenian.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, data cleanup, and functions.
• Knowledge of SQL query languages.
• Advanced knowledge of RegEx for rule writing.
• Knowledge of text analysis or machine learning principles.
• Experience with data analysis using tools such as Excel.
• Ability to perform repetitive, detail-oriented work with accuracy.
• Ability to follow complex instructions, navigate ambiguity, and work independently.
• Strong sense of urgency, organization, and time management.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and improve the data quality of multilingual text classifiers
• Partner with Linguistics and Engineering teams to develop parsers across multiple languages
• Translate taxonomies, including Skills, Titles, and Occupations
• Analyze and clean data using Excel and other data analysis tools
• Apply language, data, and text analysis expertise to support high-quality global data
