Job summary

Populus Recruiting is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new business growth across industrial and manufacturing markets.

You will develop new business and expand existing accounts across OEMs, distributors, fabricators, and service centers, manage the sales cycle from prospecting through closing, and collaborate with technical and operations teams to ensure customer success. Travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of business development, territory management, or industrial B2B sales experience.
• Background in coil coating, steel, aluminum, metal processing, industrial coatings, or related manufacturing industries.
• Proven success developing new business and growing territories.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

What We’re Looking For

Preferred:

• Experience selling into architectural, appliance, transportation, industrial, or specialty metals markets.
• Knowledge of coil‑coated products, flat‑rolled steel/aluminum, or industrial coatings.
• Strong aluminum industry experience.
