Job summary

Rimkus is seeking a consultant for Built Environment Solutions (BES) to support projects for property owners, developers, investors, lenders and contractors. The role emphasizes technical assessments, reporting, and collaboration with licensed professionals across commercial, residential, and industrial buildings. Ideal candidates have a B.S.

in a construction-related field and 3-5 years of relevant experience; EIT/PE is a plus. Travel and in-office work are involved as per project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a construction-related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in ground-up developments, renovations, retrofit or fit-out of buildings.
• Engineer-in-training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) designations are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise for building assessments, repairs, renovations, maintenance, restoration, and new construction projects.
• Work with licensed professionals in the assessment, design and construction of commercial, residential, and industrial buildings.
• Perform field assessments within all areas of the subject site, including ladders, lifts, scaffolding, rooftops and confined spaces.
• Be familiar with local and state building codes and standards (historical and current).
• Review product submittals, samples, mock-ups, testing reports, data sheets and warranties; evaluate construction change orders.
