CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Buildings/Structural Engineer to join our Architecture & Structural Team in Rochester, Albany, or Syracuse.

You will support the analysis and design of structural systems for a diverse mix of public and private projects while collaborating with architects, engineers, and technical specialists. You’ll develop preliminary design concepts, prepare calculations and construction documents under senior engineers, and ensure compliance with building codes and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Minimum 2 years buildings structural engineering experience.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
• Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and structural software.

Responsibilities

• Participate in developing preliminary structural design concepts and evaluate design alternatives.
• Assist in preparing structural calculations, reports, specs, and construction documents under senior engineers.
• Identify and resolve technical discrepancies in analyses and design documents per QA/QC procedures.
• Develop familiarity with building codes, standards, and CHA/client requirements.
• Participate in field visits to evaluate existing structures and support design efforts.
