WSP is seeking an Electrical Engineer (Buildings) for our Houston, TX office to work with architects and owners on high-profile projects focusing on sustainability and energy performance of the built environment. Responsibilities include electrical system design, power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and UPS design within healthcare, higher education, laboratories, and commercial facilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering.
3–5 years post-education experience in electrical engineering for built environment.
Proficiency with Revit and SKM Power Tools.
Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, building, electrical, and energy codes.
Ability to travel to project sites.
Ability to manage several projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with engineering teams to provide technical assistance on sustainable, high-performing building projects.
Develop drawings and specifications for architects, contractors, and building owners.
Plan and execute electrical engineering tasks within a full design scope.
Design power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, emergency power, and UPS systems.
Develop and maintain client relationships and participate in meetings.
Mentor junior staff to support project flow.
