Job summary

Carrollton - Farmers Branch ISD seeks a Construction and HVAC Teacher for Smith High School to deliver TEA-aligned instruction in Construction and/or HVAC, develop engaging lessons, and guide students toward relevant career paths.

The role requires a Texas teaching credential in Trade & Industrial Education (preferred) and a minimum of three years in Construction or HVAC. The position is on-site with opportunities to lead CTSO activities and collaborate with staff.

Qualifications

• Valid Texas teacher certification in Trade and Industrial Education (preferred).
• At least three years' experience in Construction or HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement TEA-aligned lessons in Construction and/or HVAC.
• Accommodate differences in student learning styles in lessons.
• Assess student learning and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Coordinate and serve as instructor for pre-professional Construction and/or HVAC careers.
• Collaborate with staff to set instructional goals per district/state requirements.
• Use technology to strengthen teaching and learning.
