University of Nebraska-Lincoln is seeking Building Systems Technicians to maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related systems across campus. The role involves preventive maintenance, coordinating with vendors, and supporting project work.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license.
• Experience with building maintenance and systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and related trades.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in rotating/on-call schedules.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsabilidades

• Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment and spaces.
• Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical and related systems per manufacturers’ recommendations.
• Assist with campus projects, irregular maintenance activities, and emergencies.
• Operate EMCS to monitor trends, start/stop systems and reset meters.
• Coordinate with outside vendors and manufacturers for repairs and replacements.
• Document work orders, train and mentor staff, and support department goals.
