Job summary

Wendy's Delight Restaurant Group is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance on building systems at our locations. You will inspect HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, track equipment performance, and address issues before they cause downtime.

Responsibilities include performing minor repairs, documenting work, and escalating complex problems to licensed trades while adhering to safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing or mechanical systems preferred.
• No experience required; prior experience is a plus.
• Ability or willingness to read and interpret schematics, blueprints and equipment manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and other building systems according to a preventive maintenance schedule.
• Track performance of critical equipment (chillers, boilers, generators, pumps) and identify signs of wear or malfunctions.
• Make minor repairs or adjustments to prevent system failures; escalate to licensed trades as needed.
• Maintain logs of maintenance work, inspections, and equipment performance; report findings and recommendations to management.
• Follow safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies when performing maintenance tasks.
• Ensure proper care of tools, maintenance supplies, and spare parts.
• Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, reduce downtime, and extend equipment life.
