Job summary

Colliers Maintenance Technician role in a large multi-purpose building. You’ll address tenant comfort calls, perform preventive maintenance with minimal supervision, and work with building automation and life-safety systems.

Candidates need HVAC knowledge, basic electrical/plumbing, and a commitment to safety. You’ll coordinate with vendors, document work in CMMS, and be on-call after hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ work experience in HVAC concepts, plus basic electrical and basic plumbing.
• Evidence of mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good verbal, written communication and computer related skills including work order technology.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Working knowledge of hand and power tool operation and safety.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders.

Responsibilities

• Handle routine tenant comfort calls and respond to requests.
• Perform PM functions with little or no direct supervision.
• Be conversant with building automation controls at a general level.
• Understand and operate life safety systems.
• Perform routine repairs unsupervised and assist with minor electrical repairs.
• Assist with customer equipment, furniture and box moves.
• Monitor and coordinate service contractors and vendors.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas; assist with inventory management.
