Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Facility & Building Technician for our Saint Paul, MN office to manage the safe, efficient operation of building systems. You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to service requests, and support project work.

The role requires hands-on experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation, plus strong collaboration with tenants, staff, and vendors. Occasional overtime or after-hours coverage may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Three or more years of experience in building operations, maintenance, or related technical field.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems operations and maintenance.
• Experience operating building automation systems and access control.
• Familiarity with building safety requirements and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate Building Automation Systems to monitor energy usage and performance.
• Maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Inspect and repair HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and electrical systems.
• Oversee external contractors and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local codes.
• Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
