Job summary

St. Paul’s, part of Trinity Health Senior Communities, is seeking a dependable Building Maintenance Technician to join our team.

You will help keep our community safe, comfortable, and well-maintained, tackling general maintenance, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks as needed. In this role you will respond to work orders, perform routine inspections, assist with room setups, and coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• HVAC certification preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, or mechanical repairs is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance and repair work.
• Respond to maintenance work orders and troubleshoot problems.
• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical repairs.
• Assist with preventative maintenance on building equipment and systems.
• Repair doors, hardware, fixtures, furniture, flooring, and other building components.
• Help troubleshoot heating and cooling issues.
• Perform routine building and equipment inspections.
• Assist with room setups, furniture moves, and other facility projects.
• Work with outside contractors when specialized repairs are needed.
• Help respond to building emergencies such as water leaks, power outages, or equipment failures.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.
